The foil shavers use one set of blades, and their mesh foils are thinner and more delicate. The material used in making foil shavers are smooth metals like platinum, stainless steel and titanium. The foils are intentionally thinner to have a closer contact to skin, hence, resulting to cleaner and smoother results. Braun and Remington are two manufacturers of good electric shavers. Between these two brands, Braun receives higher marks. Besides the types of electric shavers, there are other things to consider in deciding which electric shaver is for you. There are shavers that are designed for wet and dry shaving. If you are always running late and you need to shave while taking a shower, you may choose the razors for wet shaving. These for-wet shavers are powered by batteries; however, the performance may not be impressive. Norelco is the first brand to introduce lotion in shaving. Norelco moisturizing shaving system dispenses lotion through a small nozzle from a canister at the back of the razor. In order not to irritate the skin after shaving, the lotion is expected to lubricate the skin. Since most electric razors are powered by batteries, another factor that determines a good electric shaver is the amount of time used in charging the battery and the battery’s life. There are shavers that have a quick charging system with longer lasting battery life. Besides the battery, other features help determine the price.
